Nice '74 Burg

Post by bob_atherton »

This one has just been relisted. Even though I'm broke at the moment I was hovering around this one last week when it was listed as a Rickenbacken.

It had a very low number of hits and nearly got to the end of the auction, I felt I could have got it for about $850, then the guy realised he had got the name wrong.... dohhh

To quote Jared, 'Damn!'. A March 1974 Burgundy 4001! To a '74 4001 fanatic like myself, that is one hot item! Grab it, anyone!
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

It would be a shame to let this one go Sergio... ;-)

How did ya'll like that move? I posted a new thread earlier in my excitement before I saw this thread-didn't mean to waste cyberspace. When I get under the hood, I'll let everyone know what's there.

"She is so sweet"
Yeah... She must be...

But hey... I live in Canada (Montreal), and most of the bassists I know use P or J basses (and lots of Ernie Balls too!!!)... So, chances I find someone with a Burgundy around here are not that good.

Karl,

These bassists using P or J Basses or EB don't know what they're missing by not playing a Ricky, especially in Burgundy !!!
Just played it again last evening at rehearsal, and yes, she is so sweet !!!!!
