Would Rickenbacker accept an order Mr Hall?

ya ... it would be cool if Ric did a 4001v68 like this one ...

that would be nice for the 75th anniversary bass ...

If it(V68) looks like Jeff's, count me in for two.

I know one non-forumite who would definately buy a 4005 reissue. I think, though, that for a specialized run, specs would have to be the same on all instruments (except, perhaps, for the finish), so everyone would have to agree on the details.

OK, make them all left handed, that's fine with me!

If I had a choice I'd opt for the V68, but I'd buy a 4005 if that was the only one to come out

I guess a special run of 4005’s all depends on two things.

1, what are the true numbers likely to be sold world wide? I would have thought that if less than 2000 were likely to move then it would probably not be viable.

2, how tooled up are Rickenbacker to do a run of them? If they had to start from scratch, then I would guess it to be a non starter.

Time will tell……

I know, but a Lemmy was a heavily tweeked standard product. AFAIK there is nothing like a 4005 being made at the moment.

OK, maybe the 2000 guess is on the high side, but I would be surprised if it was less than 1000.

At this point, I'd probably be more interested in a re-issue 4005 than a vintage one.

1000 will sell easy. Just count how many 4005 in real bad shape were sold at more than 3500-4000$ on e-bay this year.

And ehm... I'd like to have a 4005/6 orangeglo with Bigsby and gold parts please...

;)
Yes, I played one... and I know!
