Roger McGuinn - Picks and Picking

Post by admin »

I don't not have the Roger McGuinn video and shame on me for now having it in my collection. I would like to know what fingers he uses picks on and the type of picks that he uses.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Peter, in the video Roger uses a flat pick between his thumb and index and finger picks (I think they are banjo picks) on his middle and ring finger...I'm not sure of the thickness of the picks ,or if the finger picks are metal or plastic--I lent my tape out and don't have a clear recollection; I'm sure someone will add to this....

I think Roger uses metal fingerpicks. He also used "Herco" gold -nylon picks for the flatpicking. At least he did years ago when I met him.
