Pickup cover install....

Post by Lost Coyotes »

This makes me feel really stupid, but...

A long time ago, in a land far far away, I bought a 4003 - and the first thing I did was to remove the pickup cover.

Many years later it seems, I want to put it back on.
I can't remember exactly how it was when I took it apart....I think it went inside the pickup surround chrome steel piece, but does it? Can you explain to me please?
Thanks,

It mounts under the surround and against the pickup mounting plate so that the springs are between it and the surround. This way the cover moves up and down with the pickup when adjusting the pickup height.

Thanks a lot for that information.
I appreciate it.
