With a handle like "Highway Star," you gotta drag out the 4003/5 and force them to play "Smoke on the Water" in D so you can use the B string Image

I like playing my 5 string. But I feel better on a 4. I guess just im more use to it. I havent played my 5 much sence i got it. Im just now learning a 5 string song. So im really just now getting into it. Its gonna take a little more to get 100%used to that b string.

Iv heard alot about Ibanez. Mostly from guitarist. Are they anything specail? Or just okay or what?

I had two Carvin 5 strings. I sold both of them. They just didn't feel right to me. As much as I tried to get used to them, I was much more comfortable with the four. The band I was in got really tired of hearing me goof up on the five, and so did I. Playing those things and trying to sing too, just wasn't fun for me. I play only 4 string basses now, and everybody's happy.
I recently went back to playing a Rickenbacker bass. Its like meeting an old friend again

I had an Ibanez 5 for a while, it was OK, but it didn't float my boat. I am playing a Hamer Cruisebass 5 right now that is MUCH better, keep your eyes peeled on Ebay and you might get a good one for a song!!

I thought McCartney had a jetglo 4003s5 as a backup for his Wal. The 89 and 90 world tour?

Nate, you are correct. It is listed on his gear list in the free program handed out at the concerts.

He does have a 4004 cheyenne. From what I understand RIC had one made up for Paul and it was given to him as a gift. So the first 4004C was a left handed model. However, the first production model was right handed and I believe it still resides at RIC.
