4005's
Will it ever be possible to gain the attention of Rickenbacker toward bringing back a reissue of the 4005? I'd like one even though bass is not my primary instrument right now. I know Ric representatives read these threads and comments, but I wonder if they're really thinking about starting up that production line again?

Especially the amount if the number of posts on this forum are anything to go by. Besides the two I'd get from speaking to other Ric owners in my City (Coventry) 2 of them would also buy one! The market is growing as Ric basses and the vintage look/sound is 'in'
Tell me does it feel the same when you've set upon a change but your heart's in the old times?

Judging from the previous post regarding who would order a 4005. From the forum it looks like between 20-25 basses are already sold! (lol). Whether that is enough to secure a re-issue production run, I seriously doubt! But it's a start. From what I can gather, JH has said in the past, that a re-issue is not out of the question? But only he could confirm how likely that is to happen. For what it's worth, I would certainly invest in a limited production run.

Yeah...
But seriously, how can we get it done?
I guess I could call RIC and ask them...
Would that help?
I know it`s been a "tradition" at Rickenbacker to take special orders... Ever since 1931... There is just so many threads and posts about it here... We gotta do somethin'!!!

Even on the outside chance that they decided to do it.....when do you think it would actually get done? The backlog on the "color of the year" seems to be at least a year (according to Ben Hall) so what would the wait be for a reissue model that hasn't been built in years?!?! OUCH!
I think they have enough on their plate right now.
