Look at the finish on this 1980 AG.
Man that looks really close to Montazuma Brown.
Looks like a winner for our UK friends.

Bob, this could indeed be AG, but I would tend to think it's the Walnut finish. A/G during the mid 70's to early 80's had a satin non gloss finish. Walnut on the other hand did have the glossly finish.

I know Mr. Hall has stated on several occasions that A/G has had both a satin and gloss finish in the past.

I had a 79 what I thought was A/G 4001. It turned out being Walnut. And it looked identical to the bass in the auction.

Either way you are right, it's a beautiful looking bass!

looks walnut to me. i wish i lived in the UK so I could snag it. 80 is my fave rick year! ;)

Yea, I think you guys are right, but still a lovely looking finish.
Sean, I'm sure there is someone here on the forum that could buy it and ship it to you.
I know of someone that probably would.
Buy it before someone else does.
