I think at present - probably a 5 year wait could be expected. I'd be happy with that. I've been collecting for 20 years plus. What's another five years??

I know it`s been a "tradition" at Rickenbacker to take special orders... Ever since 1931.

What kind of special orders?

You think they'd do an "S" model?

I know that one of our "on-line" RIC dealers said they would place an order for 100 of a re-issue 4005, if it were ever offered. JH pretty much said the # of units doesn't really matter, but the fact that they are so booked/overloaded NOW with PRODUCTION units that they just couldn't do it....even if they wanted to.

The Japanese flee market guy said:-

"Rickenbacker 4005 Bass Is My Collection.
It Is Not For Sale.
Thank You."

Oh well.....keep looking.
