Yup, the guard is on Ken, and the TRC. I put it on when I kept smashing my nails painfully against the routs while playing Flamenco type style.
They are old pics, I'll get some more done soon.

Nice stuff Joey, especially the one on the left. The one on the right would look awsome in Fireglo ..!!! Looking forward to seeing them at the SoCalCon !!!

Jim, I almost traded that mapleglo to Paul Alvarez for his fireglo 4004/5Cii. It was hard to tell how nice his was from his pictures. Just like the above picture does not do justice to my 2 4004/5Cii basses.

David, I am intersted in your 4002. Is the scratchplate and "2x neck pickup-look" arrangement original or a modification (I don't know anything about 4002s)?

Hey Mark, it's completely original, but please understand that it's not for sale - not after looking for one for almost 10 years! FYI, it features upgraded birdseye maple wood, an ebony fingerboard, a 3rd XLR output and completely different, humbucking pickups form the regular line. 4002s rock!!!

Check out Bjorn Ericksson's website at www.rickbeat.com for more info and better photos.

Thanks David, I am interested because I am trying to achieve that look on my 4003, with a similar design curvy scratch plate, and I want the pickups to look the same - need to get another wee chrome cover!
