I'll be doing pickup mods (a la SH 350), a Bigsby, bowtie, oven knobs, gold guards and TRC, and either Autumnglo paint or turquoise like Melissa's. Subject to change without notice...

OK, I am open to viewpoints/suggestions.

In fact, I'm the most open-minded curmudgeon you're likely to dislike...

Paul: When I got my 320, I decided to turn it into a 325V63. So I added about $400 worth of vintage reissue parts (pick-ups, TRC, knobs, Accent) to a $320 guitar to create a very cool looking burgundy guitar. Ten years ago, the popular opinion was that I wasted money creating a guitar that would never be worth the $720 I had in it. I think time has proven them wrong!

I tend to agree with you. Not to mention that I've been dying for ANYTHING TURQUOISE ever since I saw Melissa's 325.

I tried to exorcise the demon by putting a turquoise 325 into the mug design, but I was only foolin' myself.

Congrats, Paul! A fine guitar like that should ease the misery of the flu at least a little.... I never knew anything good could happen that early in the morning! Image

My suggestion, Paul:

Do all the mods you have mentioned, definitely make it turquoise, hang on to it for a while and I'll pay you cash when I pick it up next year.

Go for it Paul, Turquoise would be cool. I myself luv Jetglo. I know it seems a bit boring - but I just luv it. That shine that shimmer, oh sorry, get'in a bit carried away. I say do what you like, I know it will be great!

Hmmm. Aitch. You'll stop laughin'...when you see my price!

David: Nothing boring about Jetglo, believe me!

Red Rob: I've owned a buncha short scales, although this is my first SS Rick...and this one is gonna be special, I understand why John liked his because I have big hands but very skinny phalanges and they are a breeeeeze to play for me.Image
