The wait begins

Took the plunge and ordered a c64s. The finish and zero fret became to appealing to pass up.

You'll love it! I have one in the more unusual Jetglo. It plays very well.

Ron, you may have the ONE(meaning only one)in Jetglo. Very interesting from a collector's standpoint. The only thing is, part of the attraction is the satin finish which is supposed to make the neck more playable.

There a few more around, but not many. They could probably be counted on one hand. Chris Clayton told me he ordered it that way and apparently Ric won't go out its way to make one, but they'll paint one if the body isn't up to snuff for the satin finish. It still looks stunning.

I played a c64 in Austin, TX at The Bass Emporium at Ronn Roberts' invitation last year.

What a wonderful playing & sounding bass...almost effortless to play.

Congrats & enjoy!!!

Rhoads is where I ordered my normal, average MG from.

Marc, congrats on taking the plunge!
I ordered my C64S on Saturday, July 30th, from POTR. Where did you order from? Interesting to see who takes delivery first.

If it's any consolation, my C64 has been on order since March. I may see it around Christmas.

Mine was ordered in March, too, so we may share Christmas, Ron!

I told Chris Clayton that I would buy my next Rick from him...$1,999 for the C64S. He is local, so I have to pay NJ sales tax, but I am a man of my word. Still, not a bad deal!
