JH never closed the door on reissuing the 4005 so there is hope, in fact he or maybe Peter floated a sum of money about to see if we would pay it. It's in the archives, haha! That's like "We can't comment on that, there's an ongoing investigation"

Jeff,
That's a very interesting idea .... I'm assuming it'll be a 5 string though !!!

Jeff, if you find a way to add full width MOP's you might have a waiting list of guys wanting you to make them one! LOL
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

it would look something like this ...

and something like this ...

there was a 4001 on ebay a couple of years ago where they had laminated flamed maple ... it was a good job and it looked nice and Ted has shown some expertise in installing checkered binding ... and there are several good refinishers ... so I think I will make my own v68 5 string bass ... truely a one of a kind bass ...

Not to be simple here, but I'd like to see an 8 string version of the 4004 CII come out.

Hey!!! Look at me!!! Post number 1500!!!

Scott, I would like that too! And a 5 string version as well! Image
I know Ted and Dale Fortune have done the full-width MOP look with good results. All you need is the recipe! Image
Let's face it, the old ones have a certain "mojo" to them, the look, the finish, the sound. Not knocking the new ones in ANY way, but they just exude "cool". And that's why I'd like to see a re-issue.
