TI flats?

I was thinking of ordering TI flats from juststrings, but they have a bunch of types of flats!

What should I get?

I love the sets that I got for my 4005...low tension and very nice feeling/playing strings...My regular/workhorse Reverend bass is always strung with TI's and they hold up very well...some here like Pyramids, D'Adario, Rotos ect. so your bound to get several opinions. I say go with the TI's

TI jazz flats on my Sterling fretless, and they are about the perfect flat. Phenominal playability, smooth, and very low tension. Very warm tone, too. They are the best of all the flats I've tried, although I haven't tried the legendary Pyramids.

I wanna get the TI's but on juststrings.com there are 3 flatwound TI sets.

Which one do I get?

What are you putting them on John? I put TI's on my older 4001's and put Pyramids on my 4003's as I like a string with a little more tension especially on a Ric with the 33 1/4" scale. What kind of sound are you looking for, thump, brightness, twang, there are many different types and different sounding flats out there today, some are as bright as round wounds (rotos and GHS bright flats for ex.) some are very thumpy like fenders, some in the middle like Pyramids. TI's after they lose their initial brightness are middy and have a nice tone, they don't have a lot of thump though, Pyramids do with a nice jazzy midrange. I would use a bright for rock but Rotos suck and I don't like GHS either they have a real wierd twangy sound with no bottom, I think Chromes are pretty bright and good for rock and come in different gauges.

They don't say Jazz Flats but these have to be the ones unless they discontinued them, which I doubt. Juststrings is expensive BTW.

I am putting them on a 2004 4003 that I had modified to be slightly more like a 4001, i.e. toaster pup 1/2 from neck...

I loved the lakland joe osborn flats but was just considering options since the 'a' broke after just a few gigs.
