I must confess I have never ventured into his wavelength but.......Well worth a listen then?

OK Thanks Paul,
Al seems to really like Orange an Blue. I'll give both a listen and let you both know what I think.
Latin influenced material is it? I love latin influenced songs. My latest fave is Los Lonely Boys.

Definitely, Brian! If you can hear before you buy, I'd suggest Kiss My Axe, Elegany Gypsy and Soaring Through A Dream. You've got to give it a chance, though. It ranges from John McLaughlin-ish to Spanish influence to cool and jazzy to pop to growling Les Pauls. There are also Spanish vocals on some tracks.
All the trumpet, flute and synthesizer effects on Soaring Through A Dream are done with guitars and the most awesome rack of effects gear you've ever seen!!

Hi Chris thanks for the info. I don't want to hijack this thread but I just ordered 2 so we will see shortly if they are on B/O.
I'll put up a new thread in the guitar section with the update. I noticed that there is already a thread in the bass section.

Great pic Tony. I used to spend summers at Torquay. Lovely place to vacation. Full marks on the Rics. In fact nothing but Rics. That is great to see.

Thanks chaps. You're right about the beer Paul, I'm afraid we all got a little tipsy....
I used my 230 for the first set, but back to my '97 345 (used to be a 330) for the second. Had two gigs that day, this was the afternoon one & we went straight from there to our evening gig....it's tough at the bottom!
BTW, Kit is my drummers name. I'm wondering if Eric could change his name to Bass, just to make things easier....

'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.
Never say "my drummer" !!! How would you like it if Kit called you his "front man, you know, the guy who stands up front and works the crowd, so I can sit back here and actually focus on playing seriously" !!!! At least say "our drummer", it softens the claim.

Still got a great sound from my Rics though & Erics 4004 is sounding better all the time....
