Ultra rare - I remember someone here desperately looking for one of these:

Check out his other auctions. He is parting out the whole guitar. Is it worth more this way?

If that neck/body isn't a Jeff Rath 5-er waiting to happen, I've never seen one!
What do you mean the Bass is too loud???

It can't peek at anything...it is a truss rod cover.

Sorry,I had to beat Jeff Rath to that one.... ;-)

Hi Jeff. Do you think is a stollen one?
It seems to me like it just had been under the water for a while, at least that's what seems looking the other parts.
I've turned into a kind of Dr. Rickenbackernstein, but I'm looking for hints and help

Jeff would never touch a '75, he only converts '86 and later because of the new neck and truss rod design. A little worried of necks snapping off of the older ones due to the added tension...

Now that makes sense. Low B + thin neck = someone's getting a black eye.

I don't really think it is stolen, this is just a good way of parting one out though and not get caught!

How many of these were made, does anyone have a guess?

"I've never seen a black TRC like that before."

My white '73 has a TRC like that... not sure if mine has "MODEL 4001" under the MADE IN USA or not, I'll check when I get home.
