Holy ****, Elite Casinos are great!

Post by 1ststatestereo »

I just got a 65 Elite Casino and I am amazed. Ive never had/played anything like it. I highly recommend them. I just wanted to post this because I need to express my happiness.

Not only is the guitar great, the case is only second to the Vintage Rick case in terms of beauty and quality.

Mark: I got a Casino Elite last year on Ebay. It's a vintage sunburst with a factory Bigsby (rare presentation model awarded to Musician's Friend). I agree completely on the quality. It plays better than my prized '66 Casino, so much so that I sold the old one. They are fantastic guitars. Now I'm looking for one in a natural finish...

Thanks for the reviews guys! I'm thinking about picking up something at the end of the summer, but have been having trouble deciding between a '62 Tennessean HT and a '65 Elitist Casino. Lately I've been leaning towards the Casino - that vintage sunburst looks excellent.

Mark: I used to see them offered on Ebay. It looks like a black nylon washer. I might see if I can find one the next time I go to the hardware store. I'm not obsessed with the details on the Elites. If I was, I would need the 'black thingie', a foil 'E' on the pickguard, and a correct looking 'E' TRC. This guitar looks and plays great just the way it is.

Nice guitar. I saw a cherry one in a music store. I orginally wanted a burst. I printed this one off to show the wifie it makes me have second thoughts again.

Hey. I've had an elitist Casino for over a year now, and I absolutely love it. They are super-well made guitars and IMO are worth every dime, especially when you consider the value vs the USA Lennon model.

Woo hoo!!!

Guys, I got out my Epiphone collection tonight, (3) Korean Casinos, (1) Korean Sorrento, (1) Japanese Casino. They all play great and sound terrific. I don't see how anyone into vintage sounds could dislike these guitars. Sure the Japanese guitar has the cool nickel hardware and a more subtle sunburst, but they are all great guitars. They rock!

Gosh, and I thought Pyramid only made guitar strings.
