If I could find them, I would install a horseshoe in all of my 4003s.
I thought they had horseshoes. See im so confused now. I thought the bigger bridge pickup on the 4001-4003 were all horseshoes. Whats the difference between them?

Jacob,

The modern 4003 never came factory stock with a horseshoe pick up. Only the reissued ones (Chris Squire V63, C64)

Would it be possible to have some horseshoe covers made to fit the hi-gain.I have thought about this for a while possibly using my present pickup cover as a template.

Thanks for the info do any of you out there have any full size dimenions/drawings,of the horseshoe pickup covers. It is a pity that rickenbacker will not let us buy them in exchange for our treble pickup.the horseshoe looks so much better.

If it's looks you want, why not just saw a channel in your high-gain pickup cover? Just make sure to file down or otherwise soften the edges when you're done.
