First of all, there are still 12 hours to go. Second, $1,200 is a bit high, especially when the seller (GC) has 98% feedback - 1 in every 50 buyers gave them a neg.

I'd say because it is a Guitar Center auction is why it hasn't sold.

Replacing the pickups would be easy, but new Rick pickups would be what...$225 or so?

It is a discontinued color, but why pay $1425.00 for a used Rick that needs work, when you could get a brand new one for less?

Great point about the price, Jeff. Another thing about some of their auctions... when you have a readily available serial #, and excellent resources on the web to date a bass, then why not just do it in the interest of professional salesmanship? I see so many others that do list the year of their basses when they sell them on ebay and you'd think a DEALER would know enough to not leave "year range unknown." Just one guy's opinion.
What do you mean the Bass is too loud???

As far as i know white was discontinued in 97-98 as far as the laziness of GC not to even look into the serial# is beyond me,seems a little strange these GC auctions all started popping up about the time when Ric stopped doing business with them,as if to send a message, hey you cant stop us from selling them.since that time there has been at least 2 GC auctions a week.

It is GC and like ALL their stuff is way over priced and misrepresented. I have written to them telling them they should say it is modded in the ad and they ignored me. Fretless basses no matter how pretty don't command the same prices as a comparable fretted bass which I'm sure they have taken into account, that price would be $2400 if it was fretted, it's been in there now for at least the fifth time. They are becoming the laughing stock of ebay. If you see a Ric that has a starting price about double what the finish price would be you know it's a GC ad.

Well, I'm sure the nylon tapewounds have driven the price up somewhat.
