Yes, that is an amazing looking bass. I'm sure it plays/sounds as good, too! Image

Jeffery, is that yours, or was yours? What year is it?

I'm very pleased with my FG Laredo, but damn! that would be an exotic axe to have and hold!

On the old 50's 4000 basses, I like the fact they have the old Kluson tuners, which have the "tall" tuning machine shafts- like old Fenders- I think they look real neat.

But I bet those things weigh like tanks!

a re-issue of the '50s 4000 with the big guard would be a truly wonderful thing. I don't know how many others would feel the same way though....

I saw one that looked that nice on ebay. It was last year. Labor Day weekend...I think...it was on for an $800 BIN. It lasted a few minutes. Someone else beat me to the BIN by a couple of seconds.

...well a 7 Of 9 with a BIN of $800 would be an incredible deal, but it was a radically quilted 4004Cii mapleglo in mint condition, just about as great a deal. Image
