That MG 4005 sold on eBay . . .

Post by bassduke49 »

. . . for $3,438.88 to a zero-rated bidder. Should be interesting.

My guess is the bass will end up being relisted due to nonpaying bidder.

Mike, it ran thru my mind as I was the second highest bidder for a while. That bidder can always cancel at the last minute . My feelings were mixed as it's an old body, but it's been routed and has non-Rick inards.

You gave it a good shot, Marc! No one call fault you for that. You made the ultimate right choice. We'll get you one, man!

If that first bidder backed out you would have a legitimate & legal reason to not accept the item.

How would you try to repair this? Would you fit ric bits to it - what could be done about the nasty gap?

If it was around $2500 it may be worth it - that price seems a tad high to me.
Tell me does it feel the same when you've set upon a change but your heart's in the old times?

I think the only way to repair it, would be to install a whole new top section.

Maybe I should offer $2500 in honor of Jared's post.

for the record, you cannot retract a bid within the last few hours of an auction...unless they changed the rules within the last week.
