Recommendations for a Luthier

Post by anon »

Hi All

Got this url from the newsgroup. I recently started playing again after many years. I have 4001 (jackplate OD 1978) I believe that means the bass is from april 1978. please correct me if am wrong. The bass was not touched for many years. I had always used GHS Boomers roundwounds. The neck
seems straight(visually). I bought a new set of boomers last month and the bass sounds good, although there is a little more BUZZ than i would like. I was thinking about having the bass "TUNED" up so to speak. I am in Bucks county pa. I work in Secaucus NJ does anyone know a good person/shop where I can have the bass looked at. I would like to make sure the intonation is correct. as well as
having the bridge redone.

Thanks for reading this ramble...
