Here's a Babel Fish translation of the auction:
"Here a Ric is offered from the year 1964 with the seriennummer De606. The bass is not used and has a damage to the head end plate, which seems to be times broken sometime, these repaired however apparently by someone the anything by this handicraft understands (I war's not!!!). Was recently with the piece with some guitar farmers in the environment around repair offers to catch up some wanted there not at all ran other one wanted it to try however without warranty it then also holds. Therefore I offer the thing expressly as defective for amateur handicraftsmen. The attachments such as mechanisms, Pickups, potentiometer, switch, electrical connection etc. are old however function. If one a Kapodaster or a like over the saddle wedges can one even still drauf play. Thus if someone needs spare parts for a model from the 60ern or wants to invest money for a repair to slam shut now. With further questions, photo desires or price conceptions simply Mail to me. Since this is private one auction, there is no warranty and no return right. _ dispatch it, Ebay I."
What's that bit about 'guitar farmers'?
A field full of Rics...I'd love to see that...LOL
Anyway...someone got very lucky

"I wish the generic eBay search returned auctions like that one."

"How did it even last 2 hours!?"
Well in fact it didn't last two hours. It takes more than an hour from the moment you list your item until it shows on eBay. So the lucky buyer must have cought it minutes after it appeared. For a catch like that, you have to have an eBay search in the background all the time, and refresh every few minutes. Either that or you're very lucky.
"What a catch!"
He practically stole it. I feel your pain Marc

Ken ,could you send me the pics. That one is 50 # away from my green one with the volute.
I'm still laughing about it. Even with all the stuff wrong with it, you won't find a better deal all year. As I say, there are still deals out there. You will always find people who don't know what they've got.
I actually checked the German E Bay site yesterday afternoon, and must have just missed it. Nearly $400. Hey, that's what I paid for both of mine.....20+ years ago...
