This reminds me of the 1959 4000 in the local paper for $500. The dummy didn't know what he had. It sold later the same day for $10k aus.

Ilan, I love the search and use it all the time, in fact I have the results e-mailed to me daily. The issue here is, you'd have to check every hour to get a deal like that. I think the auction was less than 2 hours old when it ended.

Well in fact it didn't last two hours. It takes more than an hour from the moment you list your item until it shows on eBay. So the lucky buyer must have cought it minutes after it appeared. For a catch like that, you have to have an eBay search in the background all the time, and refresh every few minutes. Either that or you're very lucky.

He sent me some pics,the horseys gone,the headstock has a very weird lump of wood on the back like one of Andrews the repair was the walnut wings coming apart,instead of gluing them someone chose to bolt them all together,its firglo with average playerware,He also knows to contact us here if something falls through.I will downsize photos and post them[pain in the arse]

I'm still laughing about it. Even with all the stuff wrong with it, you won't find a better deal all year. As I say, there are still deals out there. You will always find people who don't know what they've got.
I actually checked the German E Bay site yesterday afternoon, and must have just missed it. Nearly $400. Hey, that's what I paid for both of mine.....20+ years ago...
