When I got my first 4003 in 1992 there was a 4005 hanging on the wall of a California shop - if I remember right it was a grand and no one was in line for it...
This '79 has a nice Jetglo and looks in VG shape but it is after all a 79er...

No BIN, and no reserve (except for the starting bid). He's got one bid on there now for the opening price. We'll see. Looks really nice, best unrestored fiver I've seen, but I'm not interested in owning one unless I could get it real cheap and sell it not so cheap. I'll have to see if I can get photos . . . .

It's going to go high, any bets? I'll take the action. That thing is beautiful, who cares if it doesn't have toasters? High gains sound better anyway (ducking) and it's more likely to be in better shape all around and built better. I'll bet that's more rare than a 60's model. and it doesn't have that binding on the face of the bass either, very smooth looking.
