I just got one of these with my new '72 4001. It really is a great case, but where do they come from? I prefer it to the standard Ric case.

I think it may be from some sort of 70's Rickenfaker. That's where I have seen similar cases in the past, anyway.

Yeah, looks like a Ibanez or Aria copy case.

Yup, one of the 70's copy cases. My RM1999 bass came in one.
