Today, I finally...

Post by bosco64 »

...saw and played my first 4005. I'm in Chicago for business (for the next three weeks), and today was my day off, and I decided to head out to the Chicago Music Exchange. I got there after they opened, and I saw it hanging on the wall. It was a '67 Fireglo, and I asked if it was all right to check it out. They handed it to me, and I could finally understand why those lucky individuals who own one rave about them so much. The neck was nice and thin, and sounded great. The price was a little steep (they want $7500.00 for it), but I can now finally say that I actually saw and played a 4005. I was so happy that I even bought two sets of strings while I was there!

It seems that Ron has been bitten by the 4005 bug...

It's like the commercial where the guy touches the girls Nissan (Altima?)and gets these visions...

Buying the strings was merely a bandaid... Image

Ron, the next trick is to play that 4005 in your home.
