I remember those pickups and I think the small switches just acted like an eq.....either boosting or cutting lows/highs/mids. I tried a bass that had them when I was likely sporting a mullet and remember they sounded pretty good.....but again, I may have had a mullet at the time .
Blinded by the mullet, Brian. It happened a lot in the 80's...and the pronunciation changed to mu-lay! (sounds more French that way!)
Or...Mississippi Mud Flap, Hockey Hair, The Canadian Passport, the Bob Golick, the 10/90, many names for that.
"They make great f***'n basses". - Lemmy, NAMM 2009
They were an eq for each pickup,i remember hearing no change in tone at all when i cheched them out,and i too had a mullet,i was looking for pics.you guys would laugh.
I might be able to use those Duncans. How much do you want for them. I may have some parts to trade. Could you use some vintage style knobs(black)? I may have some other things as well.
