Hi everybody, I'm new here
Well, let's just say that, after many years, I've finally delurked.
Anyway, last week I bought my dream Ric (a '92 360/12v64) and no doubt will probably be asking a lot of questions in the various folders here. I'm not exactly new to Rics - had a 320 with an f-hole in the late '70's, but that one got sold 20+ years ago.
I'm just glad to be back in the fold with my first ever 12-string.
Steve

Thanks guys. I'm really getting into learning how play this thing, as well as adjusting it, etc. For one thing, the neck's twisted a bit but so far I'm hesitant to loosen the strings to adjust it. Got the McGuinn DVD on the way, so I'll just play it as-is until that arrives. I'm well versed in adjusting Fenders and Gibsons, but this two trussrod thing is something I don't want to screw up.
That's the only issue so far. Well, the TRC needs to be traded in someday too. Whoever owned it before took it off at one point and part of the paint on the logo stuck to the headstock. It still looks OK, but you can see it. Really a minor thing. Got a very slight bit of playing wear - dings, etc. but that's no big deal - only one is through the wood on the back of the neck. For a 13 yr. old guitar it doesn't look like it was played regularly, or hard.

The actual red color is darker than what shows in the pics. I'll try to post some actual pics if/when I can figure out how to transfer them from our new camera into our Mac.
So, did I get a halfway decent deal?

Seems to work for Paul. Look at the responses he is getting on his "last Call" thread.
Paul obviously knows the target market very well.

Thanks again for all the welcoming messages! This is definitely THE friendly place for Ric info. Much better than the old newsgroup thing from years ago. I didn't say much on there because I didn't own one at the time, but I did check in at times. Those flame wars got tiring though, and I'm glad this forum rose above those ashes.
As for my guitar, the old/stronger toasters were already de-wound to (supposedly) "more vintage" specs, and some value of Sprague cap was added into the circuitry when I got it. I remember when these mods were talked about a long time ago, but I forget the specifics about all that stuff or how it'd compare to scatterwound toasters etc.
All I know it sounds pretty good to me as-is, but I'm still sorting it out. There will be questions forthcoming in the tech area, but right now I'm just having fun playing it.
