Wow! Hey, let's take a beautiful guitar & completely ruin it by drilling 10 screws in it to hold a pickguard that looks like an oil leak you'd find under a '73 Pontiac!

And don't give me that "Hey guys, it's his bass, he can do what he wants to it" ****. That's a serious lapse of judgement.

That is freaking SHOCKING.

He's done more damage to it than this piece of sh1t "pickguard" is preventing.

Edit: Just checked the listing...

Starting bid: GBP 1,999.00
(Approximately US $3,591.20)

WHAT is this guy smoking?!

He'll be lucky if he gets 500 quid for that.

It shouldn't be too hard of a repair with some patience and right color wood filler. But for the price it should need nothing and would still be 3x too much. That small "chip" on the headstock looks more like an accident with a hatchet.

Jeff, you have to put that one on your Hall of Shame. With a mention of the starting bid and the general price an unmolested specimen should fetch.

WTF was that guy thinking...about the mod and the starting bid?

Just wait until the "lucky bidder" finds the rout for a mudbucker under there...

Oh, wait, at that price nobody's touching that thing. Shame too... looked like it was once a really nice 4004.
What do you mean the Bass is too loud???

If you squint really hard and then tilt your head sideways . . . it still doesn't have a reverse headstock with walnut wings OR a toaster . . . and you also notice that there is a humongous bash in the side of the neck . . .
