Ron, it's approximately an hour and a forty minutes depending on traffic and your speed to go from San Diego to the Santa Ana area.

Jim is right if you don't get caught in the gringo trap at San Onofre and Joey is right if you do.

Well guys remember, I live in Northern Virginia. We sometimes go 20 miles in an hour and a half.
If you think all is going well, you've obviously overlooked something.

John, I thought about that, but I've always gotten caught in the trap.

My usual trip time from the Sorrento Valley area of San Diego (right near the 5/805 merge) to Disneyland (Anaheim -- farther north than Santa Ana, but a straight shot up the 5, so it's about the same travel time) is an hour and fifteen minutes. Approximately 80 miles.

Route 405 is a parking lot, anytime remotely near rush hour. And Ron N,Va traffic doesn't hold a candle to SCal traffic[you ain't seen nothin yet]Thank god,i had a motorcycle when i lived there i just went between the cars[people hate that]I lived in Costa Mesa,i would just hope onto harbor blvd and go right into Santa Ana.

Just a few people showed up the first day, Gary Clauson, Jim Glen, Paul Boyer, Erik Kutzler, a friend of Gary's with his daughter and me. Erik didn't stay the whole time, he had to get back to work, so we didn't see any of his Ricks. I hope he brings them tomorrow, especially his blue flame 4003.
I will put larger images on my website in a few days. For now I'll post these pics here:

It was great meeting them, all very cool people. Looking forward to seeing you guys again tomorrow with even more of my Rickenbrothers.

Hi Joey,
Great meeting you all at last, nice to put faces and handshakes to names.

Fantastic day, and great to play all those lovely Ric's (even the non-Fireglo's) . That Fireglo 79 of your's plays really sweet...

We'll not mention the slight moment of terror when you thought your Red 4004 Cii was gone !!!

You didn't mention the day's highlight, or were you waiting for Gary to say !!!!

It was great meeting you also Jim. It was a great day, except for those few minutes of terror when I thought the red 4004Cii5 was gone. For a bit, I guess I knew how Marc Seligman felt when the airline misdirected his basses for the Columbus confluence for.

Other than that, the day was a perfect 10. There are very few of those. I'll wait on Gary.
