80's HiGains vs new HiGains

Post by octagon »

I have noticed that the HiGains in my 1983 620 are Much quieter than those on my 2004 330,in fact they are dead quiet even with the Gain on my AD30VT maxed out. They also have lower output than the newer HiGains on my 330(I have to turn up the volume).Any one know the specs on old and new HiGains?

To put it very simply, the new high-gains have many more wire turns than the old ones.
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.
