Absolutely Killer

Post by awoodfellow »

Folks,
I've had my 360/12 FG for a few days now. I can't believe how nice it is. So I put it to the test tonight. I wrote this little ditty to give the 360 a work out. This is recorded straight hook up to the line-in on my sound card. Nothing in between. I used the open source Audacity multi-track package to record. Raw Rickenbacker accompanied by my Guild F212.
I can't believe the sound and can't imagine what it will sound like with real equipment.

Pardon my recording indiscretions! Image ( and my voice)

Thanks folks.

Nice work, Ambrose. Nice voice work as well. I hear nothing wrong there, but it's good to be humble, I wish I sounded so bad. It also sounds like you have adapted to your Ric quickly and effectively, raw or not.

Ambrose: Thanks so much for sharing this great tune. Another reminder that the Rickenbacker 12 string has great versatility. I really enjoyed your recording.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

post pics!

p.s. that's pretty wild... the 360 sounds like a distant-mic'd acoustic, not an electric (to me)

Thanks guys. It's been a trick adjusting my fingers to the Rick. But dag! It's been fun! And that really is the 360 along with the F212 recorded.

The Mrs. took a rather cheesey pic of me standing in awe of my new 360/12. Image. Plus the Guilds: D25 and F212

Great song Ambrose,

Reminds me of some tunes I heard in the 60's at a festival in Bothel Wa. Country Joe and the Fish, Flying Burrito Brothers, and Grateful Dead all played stuff reminiscent of your tune. That's pretty good company to be in.

Keep up the good work. Nice guitar too.
