Musician's Friend and Sam Ash both claim to be getting them soon.

Well, that puts me in kind of a tricky situation. I had ordered one from Rhodes Music, but he never charged my card. At his point, if he failed to place the order, I'd be willing to pay a little more for a live one.

That's one of the cool things about the Rickenbacker site is we'll be able to tell who the basses were shipped to.

But you have no idea how many orders the dealer has for the instruments nor how many we're actually shipping.

I believe that Jim Rhodes had told me there was one before me. Prior to making any moves, I want to see what he gets and call him. Either way I'll eventually own the bass and be happy with it.

John, your right, I don't know actual numbers as far as waiting. It would almost seem unfair if he had my order(unless there was a cancellation). I only placed the order about a month ago.

Hope you all get what you are waiting for and look forward to your reactions. the C64 has had some detractors here but I've been very pleased with my FG.
enough, already.

Philip, what do the "detractors" have to say about the C64? Just curious, as I may have one on the way soon. I got to play one at Rudy's Music in NYC and fell in love.
