Julio,

Thanks for the trouble. I was slightly off on my guesses for your chords. Thanks for sharing. It's a great song and I appreciate your time.

Yep. I like to write, too. I have a 4 track recorder, a DR-5, and Cakewalk Home Studio. I have several songs copyrighted and am working on another group now off and on. The last 5 or 6 years I've been concentrating on Christian rock, but everyone who hears my music (especially the younger folks) tells me it sounds like it belongs on the Oldies radio station. That's quite a compliment to me, an old Beatles and Byrds fan.

I was in a couple of bands in high school and college, but we never got past a few gigs. Then I laid down the ax for several years. I lost my dad 6 years ago and had quite a struggle with that. However, losing him reawakened my love for music. I bought a Fender Strat 12 and began putting down my thoughts and feelings in songs. Writing and recording (about him, my life, and my God) was wonderful therapy that got me past the most difficult time. About 2 years ago, I got reacquainted with those magical black and white Beatle guitars that I had only dreamed of playing. Thanks to Chris Clayton over at Pick of the Ricks, I now own 2 beautiful Ricks (a 1997 and a 360v64/12) and my playing has improved tremendously.

Your song has now gotten me interested in trying to compose my own version of a Fab Four tune. I could never come close to the vocals like you have, but it should be fun trying anyway. Good luck with the tab.

Nothing compares to the sound of a Rick 12 with a JangleBox and a touch of chorus.

Jaybird:

I am working on a Beatlesque tune with my Rick, Gretsch, and J160E. HOwever, it will be a while before I will finnish it. It sometimes takes me three months to do a tune due to lack of time. It is much worse in the summer------ in the winter I tend to be more productive because we are inside so much more. BTW, I saw 1964 The Tribute band yesterday and had a great time. It was really nice with mostly families and their kids enjoying Beatles music.
