Finger Rest Location Measurements

Post by ataritoobin »

Could somebody with a mid 60's 4001 or 4000 please take some measurements of where their finger rest is located on the pickguard? I realize these measurements are different from bass to bass. I'm not exactly sure what the best point of reference to measure from would be.

I have a template of a late 60's-early 70's bass, but it looks like they started moving the finger rest up a bit higher and more towards the toaster than the mid 60s basses.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!
