Too bad it is in Germany....I'm curious as to what one would actually sell for in the US on Ebay. Not that I am thinking of selling.....just curious.

I have also reconsidered what I would pay to get another. I wouldn't quite pay the BIN of $7-ish-K but I'd be in the ballpark.

Are you listening Jared ? Image

Interesting that he says there's no certificate because the US dealer he bought it from didn't send it to him.

I thought US dealers were not allowed to sell outside the USA.

I still think it would be better in Fireglo !!!

Oh-Boy.....now I've done it!

Anybody want to buy a 4003s8? And possibly a 4004Ci? Seriously.

Brian, no fair, you cann't bid on it. You have one already. Image

I was thinking of bidding $6,500.00, but I'll stand down.

How much? I'm looking for a few more Rics while I wait for my 4004Cii/5 BBR. 8 strings sounds interesting.

That's why I bid to kill the BIN. I know.....booooo!

Dave......do what you must but I'm not sure what my max is yet and I'd hate for us to drive the price up for each other.

And yes, I have one....but wouldn't it be really cool to have two! Image

John....I'll only sell the s8 if I get the LK. Let me research a little before I commit to a price. It will be between $1500 and $2k. It is mint but has been professionally refinished so I'm not sure how much that will affect the price. Plus I think Steve Cooper would kill me since he has called "DIBS" on it a few times!

Brian, it's all yours. I am still licking my wounds from the last 3 4080 purchases.

Thanks.....I have a feeling I won't stand a chance if some heavy hitters get involved. Ed Roman knows what he can get for one so what's to stop him from snapping this up for more than I am willing to pay?

Also, I have been emailed an offer for $8K for mine (and one for just less) so there are those seemingly willing to pay more.

I emailed the seller for some more info and specific pics so I'll pass that on when I get it in case anyone else is interested.

BTW....if I read the serial # correctly it is only 3 off from mine!

I, for one, would like to know the edition number for this bass- seems like it might be a very early one. Too bad he didn't get the certificate.

Maybe he would respond to an email asking who the dealer was who originally sold it, would show where they've been sent ?

John....can't you tell from the serial #03-31016 (what it looks to be)? Also, it would be interesting to know what dealer he bought it from.....can that be told by the # as well?

John, I'll be sending an email to you in the next few days about a problem with my LK so I thought I'd give you a "heads up".....I hope that is OK. If not, I'll contact customer service but the issue/situation is sort of "odd" and I thought it might be best to go to the top, so to speak. Image
