Sixpence None the Richer: Their version of "Don't Dream It's Over." From the opening notes, the song has that unmistakable heavenly Ric chime.... Paired with Leigh Nash's incredible voice--Beautiful! I never get tired of listening to their "Divine Discontent" CD.

Probably any early REM tune. Off the top of my head, FLowers of Guatemala.
Also most of the stuff from Rush's "Golden Age." IE Exit Stage Left era.
Byrds and Beats go without saying, obviously.
COme to think of it, that would be a cool name for a rick-based band: "The Birds and the Beats."
Bill Hughey - You definitely need to swing through NC sometime to catch some sessions - there's something going on in the middle of that state on any sunday afternoon you'd like.
