Which one - V63 or 4003 - Pyramid Strings ?

Post by bottom4 »

I'm about to purchase my first set of Pyramids. Where do you think they best belong - on my 4001V63 ('85) or my 4003 ('97). Peter M. in a previous post you mentioned the flatness of the E-string on your 4003. Any thoughts?

Buy two sets and try them out on both. J

Depends on what sound you want, as the pickups on each are different.

But Rob is 100% right.

The ideal mix leaves the bass player louder than the rest of the band put together!

I've had a set of Pyramids on my 4003 for about a month now, and they sound great! No problem with the E string at all. All the strings sound perfect.
