Ummm...check the Richard Smith book, that's an older style acoustic headstock...if they're doing them like that then I will personally throw a party.

The 700S Shasta at Dave's Guitar Shop has a headstock like the RIC website. http://www.davesguitar.com/6707.JPG

ooops - I didn't bother to get up and go into the othr room to check in the Smith book (and I couldn't get to the RIC models page - as usual)

I think it is real .WITH the fish tail headstock .

If indeed it is legit, and they're doing a bunch of acoustics like that, then it will be one of the coolest things Ric has done in ages. (John Hall, PLEASE hire me as a consultant! I could make you MILLIONS!!!)

Anyway, it's the normal RIC shape headstock.

Another RIC acoustic has appeared on the 'bay, so I'll start a thread on it.
