The one at North Coast is an oddity! Maybe an early prototype. Every one I've seen including the one that I own(purchased from Scott Provencher) has:
1) A zero fret, 2) A white nut, 3) The non-split tailpiece, 4) Vintage re-issue nickel plated tuners(not the chrome Schaller tuners with the "Rickenbacker" name stamped on them).

Jim Rhodes got back to me today and he has in fact ordered a c64s for me. He was nice enough to not charge my card until he receives the bass. While I'm certain he would have allowed me to cancel my order, I will honor my commitment to him and wait.

I have withdrawn my bid on the c64s on Ebay
