The same thing happened to the guy selling the 4080 BG a while back.

Someone stole his whole EBAY add.

Would anyone here buy something from China anyway??

This is a scam, from the pictures to the description, its the same as the one in Germany. Ebay needs to delete it now!

Take a look at his feedback....10 ratings, all of them from "people" who are no longer registered users. Amazing...don't people need a credit card to register these days?

Good point Les.

I'm sure less than an hour ago he had zero feedback...now he has a score of 10 all of a sudden.

Look at the items they "Bid On". Hilarious. All fake items, listings made up, nothing sold, and I'm sure no money changed hands. They should have a "REPORT A FRAUDULENT AUCTION" button on Ebay.

The current bidder needs to be informed.

I was the guy with the 4080 that went to Dave. It definately hurt my auction and caused a slight rise in my blood pressure. I'm just glad that a fellow Ric member stepped up to the plate or I would have had to relist the bass and as we all know, they are then considered "damaged goods" for some reason.

This would seem to be a very popular item for fraud. Here's another one based on the original:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Rickenbacker-4004-LK-Lemmy-Kilmister-Limited-Edition_W0QQitemZ7348777281QQcategoryZ41439QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

The "seller's" feedback includes comments such as "Very good, speak the prestige very much".

Bid with con...fidence!

I guess they see what a real one goes for and want to rip people off as much as possible. I reported that auction, plus the other fraudulent "Feedback building" auctions to Ebay in the hopes their account is deleted.

I saw the same thing with a fender bass a month back. One went on sale in the US and then someone in france posted an add with the same pictures.
