Aitch, after you pull the strings off and bin 'em, do this:

Wipe the fretboard real thorough-like with some naphtha. Gets all the gunk off.

Get a NSCC (Nice Soft Cotton Cloth) and some Scratch-X and go over the fretboard and frets, rubbing in the direction of the frets (across the neck, in other words). Takes about 15 minutes, polishes up the varnish on the fretboard and leaves the frets nice and shiny.

Now get those new strings on and commence to rockin'!

Absolute beauty Howard, just as she is. Gorgeous color!! I think the vintage knobs would look great, but I love the white guards.

You are a more than lucky man to be able to add so many Rics to your family in such a short period of time. This beauty puts you in the same league as lottery winners. I'm turquoise with envy!

I'm going to go with vintage knobs. Darren has offered to pick me up a set when he's over there in a week or so. Don't you just love this place and the great folk within??

Where would I get naptha, Paul? The Scratch-X is no problem.

Aitch, that's a gorgeous 620! Love that color.... And gold guards and oven knobs do look great on turquoise, but hey, it looks great either way! Congrats....

Beautiful. The precolombian american cultures held turquoise in high regard. The attraction, for some, is clearly ageless. It sure is pretty.

The binding looks gorgeous against the body too.
