Care to elaborate, Melissa??

I'll tell you something else, boys and girls...... this little beauty is by far the best Rick 'player' that I have. The neck has a wonderful feel to it (the same as the 360 I played a couple of months back) and I can 'nail' stuff that I struggle with on the 330. My 350 comes close, though.

A drop or two of Dr. Stringfellow's finest helps a fair bit too!!!

Oh, just a little refin project for Paul.... I've got a 481 in an ugly banged-up jetglo that is in need of some serious professional help, among other things, LOL!

I'm sure he'll put in a special effort for you, Melissa. The way he's going, though, you may have to book it in for 2006! LOL!!

....After all, I think he DID say he wanted to do something in turquoise.... Hey, it's not my 325, but THAT one is beautiful just the way it is.... I don't think RIC ever made a 481 in turquoise, did they? I like the cresting wave shape and binding with that color-- Aitch, how does your 620 sound now that it has fresh strings?

One word, Melissa - brilliant!! There seems to be a lot more variation in the sound through the Hi-gains and the 5th knob than my 350. I can even get close to a Strat sound!

I like to use my Korg pedal for delay and phaser when I'm practising a bit of Floyd stuff and the 620 is great for that. I was late to work today - any guesses why?

Cool.... I still don't have a solid-body neck-through Ric in my arsenal--I'm jealous! Image

Uh, actually I guess I DO have one, in black and white--jetglo, that is--I just heard some dark and angry rumblings coming from my bass.... But I meant a guitar, LOL!

Howard, That is a great looking RIC. I find my 610 has a great neck and playability. What strings did you use? I found the RIC 10-46 perfect but as the G string is wound it is hard to bend. Do you know what strings are standard when from the factory.
Geoff

PS, I finally got my 12 string fixed and rocking

Hi Geoff. Thanks for that.

I use the standard Rickenbacker medium compressed wound 10s (on my Rickenbackers, anyway) - part number 95403. That is what would be on a full scale neck guitar when shipped. You have the superseded round wound mediums (wound G) - part number 95105, which I only have on my 330.

I agree with you on the G - if you want to bend, don't use 'em. Great for straight rhythm, though.

Glad you got the 12 up and running!! What sort of stuff do you like to play on it?

Turquoise, Melissa! I mixed up a lovely batch to do "that" 325 of mine, and had a last minute change of heart...

It awaits your summons, hibernating in the back of my paint cabinet.

Melissa, 'tis true I'm back, but with classes beginning and a bad cold both cutting into my time the last couple of days, I've been a bit of an undercontributor.

I'll be posting a bit in REFLECTIONS tonight, though. I should be back to normal, and seeing my 4000th post, in a day or two...

I got a 320 for my 320th post, and a 660/12 for my 660th.

I can hardly wait for my 4005th!!!

Drinks all around!!!
