I would say yes ... but it would probably also require a fretboard refin ...

Providing that whatever is filling the frets is not harder than the wood, this instrument could be refretted without a fingerboard refinnish.

Seriously tempted by this. To keep as a fretless actually. Big chunk of fretboard finish out of the first fret....

It almost looks as though the frets were ground down and the fingerboard refinished;time consuming but not unheard of.It is good looking.
