Well, allow me to translate the description:
"Rick '75 - Fireglo - Very good condition (see pics) - Three pickups - Grover tuners - Special binding - One-of-a-kind guitar, built for me in 1976 from a 362/12 - Has seen a fair amount of recording - De-luxe case included - Collector's piece."
Yeah, right.

Yeah, right.
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.
I have looked at the photos, side by side. While this won't win any awards, it does look as if the project is feasible and could have been cut from a doubleneck. Customized means different things to different people. Fashioned with a Vox teardrop in mind, perhaps?

" It's not where you are, it's who you're with.".
Agreed Marc. It has little value to my way of thinking. However, had Lennon owned it, many would be at the bandsaw today.

Right you are Tony. Unless the 12 string neck met with a horrible accident or the creator worshiped Brian Jones, I cannot see the motivation for this creation.

At a glance, and I cannot overstate the glance part, the second one looks fair. A closer look, of course, induces cringing.
And did the guy scrub them with Brillo after painting? My goodness...
Maybe Paul Reed Smith told him to position that middle pickup on the teardrop as such to avoid a harmonic node.
blech
