It was for sale in Loot which is one of London's selling papers John. It comes out once a week, and on the day it came out there was a 4005 for sale close to Graham.
He was there very quickly apparently....

Thanks guys. Congratulations are still a bit premature. This probably won't be wrapped up until Monday.

Marc, as I said earlier, that is the finest looking Rickenbacker that I have EVER seen.

You are indeed a lucky sod, and I am very envious...!

Congrats! Wait until you take it to your first gig. I took mine out for a show on Saturday night... You won't believe how many other bass players have to come up and talk to you, (and ask to play a 4005 when they see it!

See...I told you guys not to congratulate me. The bass is on hold for someone else. Excellent chance that someone else will be getting it. I should know later this afternoon.

But Marc, didn't you put it on hold a few days ago when you talked to the store?

That's what I was trying to tell everyone. I spoke to someone on Saturday, but not the owner. My feeling was it was possible it was promised to someone else. These things happen.

I'll keep my fingers crossed but, you snooze, you lose.
