I would give this advice. If you are very serious about buying a bass DO NOT post it here. While many forum members will respect your approach of trying to be first to acquire an instrument, there are, by the law of averages, many who lurk here who will not.
It's a great deal for them too.....

I never disclose what I'm working on until the deal is done. That way it stays as neutral as possible and everyone hopefully stays happy. No one gets their toes trod on and pi**ed off.
You will inevitably cross paths with other members, but hopefully this will be rare.
The exception of course is E Bay, which unless you get a BIN is basically a free for all.

Of course, if you are not interested in buying post away.... and let the best man win...

Andrew you may be right. Appearantly they were offered more money for the bass. I still have first crack but I would have to pay more.

Right now I'm very uncomfortable.

Dave, funny but true... when my wife was pregnant she used to go to the real soup nazi every day. In her ninth month no less, he threw her out permantly because she asked for the same piece of chocolate he was giving everyone else.

See? Didn't I say you'd wind up with it?! (Even though you had to go through some FIRE to get it...which is appropriate, since she's a GORGEOUS FireGlo!) Anyway, I'm really happy for you that you got it, Marc!!!! Image Congrats!!!!And yes, we DO expect pics!!

My 4001 JG from Seth was sent off this morning, and its estimated to arrive on Thursday!!!! Image!!!!

Nothing like a 4001jg. I saw a 79 on Ebay that I could swear was mine. It had the badass II conversion and even had the same buckle rash as well as a chip on the lower front horn.

It's kind of exciting, and it couldn't of happened without support from friends at this forum.
