Question about a fretless

i have not seen such a setup on a fretless before.

it may or may not have been refinished ... but it did at one point have frets that were removed ...

... strange fact is the non full width inlays combined with the checkerboard binding. It least I would have expected full width inlays if not crushed pearl ones...

Full inlays were gone before check binding.
a couple of Shadows a Blackstar and an Annie.

I asked for more pics of the frets etc and have heard nothing back.
With the final line of "what you see is what you get" means I'll pass on this...
