Paul McCartney "Chaos And Creation"

Post by 80stingray »

New Macca Album in the stores now. He once again plays all the instruments himself. Saw a very brief ad on VH1 for a special comming up but it didn't mention a date or time. Keep your eyes and ears open.

I think it is out. I saw a special on the recording of the CD and, I think it's gonna be a good one! Lots of good songs and it sounds very warm and organic.

I always wondered why so many people hate Paul McCartney. They seem to think that he is the sole reason the Beatles broke up or something . . .

He is pompous, self-important, self-loving, well past his prime, artificial, conceited, and left-handed.

Are we still talking about Macca's CD?

Well... I don't know if we've indulged in any "Creation"... but the "Chaos" part seems to have kicked in anyway!Image

I still have to buy the CD....just curious about his new job..even if most of the comments here in the forum aren't so enthusiastic...
Ken, next time you know who you don't have to vote...if you are upset for the gas price in the USA, just come down to Italy or to Germany... 1,70Usd for a liter..more expensive than wine :-)

Same in the UK Francesco. It amounts to you guys in the US paying $7.50 a gallon. Now thats worth complaining about !

I am looking forward to hearing Macca's new album. I liked the single. I do think that he has made a mistake in not using his absolutely superb live band in the studio though. What a band ! Probably one of my favourite drummers around at the moment as well in Abe Laboriel Jr.

I happened to catch the special on VH1 classic wed. night. The first half of the special is about him recording his new album including a song about which he says: "George (Harrison) could have written this!" I'll admit that it does have a bit of the post Beatles GH sound and vibe but it ends in a peculiarly McCartney fashion.
The last half of the special is old concert footage of McCartney with and without Wings doing 'Jet', 'Band on the Run', 'Live and let Die', etc. Immediately after the special they played the 'Spies Like Us' video that showed off McCartney playing his Rick. I noticed it appeared to have Hi gains in it then.

Keith, in Atlanta, GA about 2 weeks ago people were paying $6.50 per gallon and up for gasoline. The price has since dropped and settled at around $2.65 per gallon. However Kens post brings an interesting point (and I HATE to mix music and politics as the two have no business interfering with each other). If the Iraqi war were, as so many assert, being fought for oil then why aren't we all paying $0.75 per gallon? (This question is purely rhetorical)

I also agree that McCartneys band is great.
I'd rather die while I'm livin' that live while I'm dead!

I had the album yesterday on loan from a co-worker. Since I have respect for Sir Paul and this forum I will just say that I didn't care for it.

Peter has asked that we don't discuss politics, religion or sex on these forums.

It could ruin some ric friendships!

Not trying to be a party ****.
