My V63 is an 85 – no slugs in this HS. Wonder what this one would fetch?

That's a nice one Andy! Your HS is closer to the original design than later models like mine. I think you said at one time that your HS was magnetized didn't you? If so, I wonder why RIC changed to the slugs in those basses? BTW, yours would likely fetch quite a bit of money if you ever decided to sell it. I'd never sell it if I were you!
I recently went back to playing a Rickenbacker bass. Its like meeting an old friend again

Sorry Chris - this one isn't going anywhere. I've had it for over 20 years now and I intent to keep it that way...

Ken,
Wise choice not to bid higher. As great as the bass is, I don't think that a V63 should be going for that much. There are others out there that can be had in the $1300-2000 range. Keep hunting.

Ken, You were not thinking, and I don't mean that unkindly. Rics evoke a huge amount of emotion and 'love' if you like. I'm afaid often the normal heart, head, wallet interface goes out the window...!
