Using the correct polish

Post by James_C._Carbone »

I read that Martin guitar polish is wonderful for the Mapleglo finish because it does not contain silicone. However, that polish DOES have silicone! What polish do you recommend for the Mapleglo finish?

You will get many responses here depending on whether you are polishing or waxing your Rickenbacker. I will leave the polishing responses to others who have used them. I have had very good results using a Pure Carnauba wax that contains no silicone. There is some contoversy about whether you will get a wax build up and hence some owners go for a polish. While there are many companies that make Carnauba waxes I have never been disappointed with Mothers Gold which I use sparingly and get fantastic results with my Mapleglo 350.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm
